Nearly 1,500 Prince George’s County community members gathered along five miles of Route 1 to protest President Donald Trump and advocate for democracy.
Moore was elected for the position in 2022, making him Maryland’s first Black governor and the third Black governor to be elected in United States history.
Protest attendees called on this university to reaffirm its commitment to academic freedom and provide support to students impacted by new federal policies.
The resolution comes as the Trump administration seeks to exert control over higher education, including cutting research funding and revoking student visas.
